Parking and Transportation Operations

The Office of Parking and Transportation will enforce parking lot closures for Howard University’s 100th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration from Tuesday, October 15, through Sunday, October 20, 2024. Parking will be limited, and unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and towed. The following lot closures will be in effect during this time.  

Parking Closures

The following lots will be closed from Tuesday, October 15, at 12:01 a.m. until Sunday, October 20, at 2 p.m.

  • Founders Lot
  • Childers Lot
  • School of Business Lot

Strict enforcement will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. 

Miner Lot will be closed from Thursday, October 17, at 4:00 p.m. until Sunday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m.

The following lots will be closed from Friday, October 18, until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20. Strict enforcement will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

  • Georgia Avenue Lot
  • Johnson Lot
  • Howard Center

Shuttle Services

The following temporary shuttle adjustments will be in place due to road closures: 

Regular Saturday Shuttle Service: 

  • Mazza Shuttle (2 buses): Temporary stop at Columbia Rd NW & Georgia Ave NW. Operating from 12:00 to 11:30 p.m. 
  • Wish Shuttle (1 bus) & Lane Apartment Shuttle (1 bus): Temporary stop at Barry Pl NW & Sherman Ave NW. Operating from 12:00 to 11:30 p.m. 
  • Weekend Campus Shuttle (1 bus): Service will be suspended until 6:00 p.m. or until road access is restored. 

Shuttle operations will adjust as road closures change. Updates will be available via campus-wide announcements and the shuttle app (Apple App Store and Google Play).

Lime Valet Activations

Lime valet activations will be at three key locations during Howard University’s Homecoming Week: Towers, College Hall South, and the School of Business (corner of Georgia Ave and Fairmont St).
