100th Homecoming: Howard University Yard of Fame
Celebrating the Centennial: Howard's 100th Homecoming
On November 27, 1924, Howard University’s first Homecoming was simply a football game against Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
But over the last century, Homecoming has evolved into a week of special events steeped in tradition, designed to unite Bison whose love for the University runs deep.
This year, we’re excited to bring you the 100th anniversary of Howard University’s Homecoming - “100th Homecoming: Howard University Yard of Fame”. From Sunday, October 13 to Sunday, October 20, the 2024 Homecoming Week will feature a series of events appealing for Howard University students, alumni, friends, and members of the local community.
The signature event is the Homecoming Football game on Saturday, October 19 where the Howard University Bison will take on the Tennessee State University Tigers at Greene Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
